They accepted our counter-counter offer, so it's [almost] official -- we're getting the house! Barring some unforeseen terror with the inspection or a natural disaster, we will close at the end of March and take possession on June 1 (well, technically at 5 p.m. on May 31, but whatever). Part of the counter-counter was that we close in 60 days and then the owner will rent it back from us for another 60; that way, we lock in a great interest rate, they don't have to move their kids halfway through the school year, and we get enough time to sell our current townhouse.
Anyone looking to buy a 4 bed, 3 1/2 bath townhouse? It's 3,300 square feet. It comes with a media room with a projector and possible [probable] dog pee stains (I think I've found them all, but how can you really be sure?).
Anyway, we're excited. Bring on the buyers!
